What You’d See Walking the Plant

Four Station Groups Across Six Integrated Lines

Frame in at one end, finished tricycle out the other. Each station is staffed by trained operators and instrumented for the checks that actually decide unit quality.

Stamping & Frame Welding

Steel sections enter at the welding line. Robot-automated welding handles the high-repeatability seams that decide chassis straightness and load-bearing geometry — the things our 40+ patents on frame and suspension are built around. Manual welders finish the joints that need judgement.

This is the station that decides whether the rest of the spec sheet means anything — a misaligned frame compromises every downstream component.

Painting & Curing

Welded frames move into the automated paint line: degrease, phosphate, prime, top coat, oven-cure. Robot spraying gives a more consistent film thickness than manual spraying — especially important on cargo bodies and tipper hoppers that take physical abuse in service.

Colour and badging variants for private-label distributor orders are scheduled into this stage.

Battery & Electric Assembly

The drivetrain station mates motor, controller and battery pack to the painted chassis. Lead-acid and lithium configurations run on the same line with different fixtures. Battery pack assembly includes the UN38.3-compliant documentation steps required for sea-freight on lithium orders.

Wiring harnesses are tested for continuity before the body goes on.

Final Assembly & QC

Body type (open-bed cargo, tipper, dry van, refrigerated van, passenger cabin) goes on in this station, followed by wheels, brakes, lighting and seats. The vehicle then rolls onto the final QC line for load, brake and road tests before container packing.

How the 200,000-Unit Capacity Actually Splits

Six lines, three vehicle families, shared painting and battery stations. The constraint on lead time is usually the configuration-lockdown step before production, not the production line itself.

Line Allocation

Six integrated production lines serve the three vehicle families (cargo / passenger / logistics) across shared painting and battery stations. Lead times scale with line utilisation in your scheduled window — high-season orders go into slots that already exist on the calendar; large orders may need to be split across multiple windows.

Lead Time Drivers

Production: typically the longest segment. Configuration lockdown: depends on how decisive your team is at the quote stage. Documentation: minimal if destination certifications are confirmed early; longer if approvals are still pending. Realistic total inquiry-to-port for a new distributor: usually two to four months.

When Volume Outgrows the Slot

Order growth beyond a single slot is handled by sequencing multiple production windows on the same line, not by trying to compress a slot. The export team plans this with you at the quote stage so cash flow and inventory planning line up — we’d rather hit a realistic date than overcommit on a tight one.

What Distributors Ask About the Plant

Yes — serious distributors usually visit before the first container, and the visit is the strongest possible due diligence on whether what’s on the website matches what’s on the floor. The export team coordinates Xuzhou visits; lead time depends on your travel window.

The 100,000 m² site in Xuzhou, Jiangsu is the production plant for LVHANG vehicles. R&D is split between the Xuzhou plant and a joint R&D center in Shanghai Pudong — production is consolidated in Xuzhou. We do not outsource final assembly to third-party factories under our brand.

Welding-line robots deliver repeatability that manual welding can’t match over a long shift. For a frame design built around a specific load and chassis geometry (40+ patents’ worth of design intent), repeatable welds are what make the spec sheet defensible in service. Skilled welders are still on the line for joints that benefit from judgement.

Body and battery options within an existing model are scheduled into the production slot at lockdown — cargo-box dimensions, side-door layout, paint and badging, lead-acid versus lithium chemistry. Deeper changes (custom cabin geometry, new drivetrain, voltage standards for a destination market) go through the R&D intake and add lead time.

The export team will tell you. We’d rather give you a real date six weeks out than a fake date next week. Realistic scheduling protects both sides — an over-promised slot becomes a delayed container that compounds with your downstream commitments. Sequenced production windows usually solve growth; sequencing is planned at the quote stage.
